I paid less than $1 for a year supply of contact solution!

Standard

DENVER — Catalinas are exclusive manufacturer’s coupons printed at the register at the end of the transaction. These savings are available for use at the drugstore & supermarkets that they are printed at. Offers vary & depend on you items you are buying or have bought in the past and shopping habits.

In my experience, the catalinas I have received are higher in value than traditional paper coupons or digital offers in the store’s app.

For weeks, I had two $3.50 catalinas for any Clear Care solution (a brand I have not used before) to be used at King Soopers.

The Rinse & GO solution has a retail price of $4.99 & was on sale for $3.99, a 20% off savings when you used the store’s loyalty card.

I combined the high value catalinas to buy two rinsing solutions. With a sale price of $3.99 & $3.50 off catalinas, I paid just 49 cents each for two 12 oz. full-sized containers (the product has a six month shelf life once opened).

I paid 98 cents for a year supply of contact solution, a 91% savings off retail!

Sale price + high value catalina = HUGE SAVINGS!

Before my favorite sports 🏈 event of the year kicks off, I went #extremecouponing @ Walgreens to score some FREE items after coupons, rebates & bonus points!

I took advantage of the Almay cosmetics BOGO 50% promo & oral care sale plus register reward offer. I choose two eyeliners priced at $7.99 each, two Crest 3DWhite toothpastes & two Oral-B White toothbrushes at $2.99 each.

My retail total for the six items before tax was $32.14. My balance rewards savings & sale prices gave me a new total of $23.94. Finally, I used five manufacturer’s coupons for an additional $11 off, which brings my final retail total before tax at $12.94.

My special offers with this transaction included:

  • 7,000 bonus points (equivalent to $7 off) with a $20 transaction (which is great because it is the total price of items before coupons 😉 )
  • 5,000 bonus points (equivalent to $5 off) from the Beauty Enthusiast program
  • $6 register reward off a future visit with a purchase of four participating items

This transaction gave me $12 in rewards points & another $6 off a future purchase. Subtract the $14.77 with tax I spent, it’s almost like the store paid me $3.23 to shop 💸  (a girl’s dream job)! MONEY MAKER!

How I saved 95% on my favorite P&G items!

Standard

Proctor & Gamble Co. brands are some of the most popular in the world and I always stock up when I can maximize my savings on my favorite items. King Soopers advertised this week for the store’s “Buy 5, Save $5” promotion. I was so excited to see that the brands I love were included in the promo.

Today, I saved a lot of money off the retail price using two paper coupons, two digital coupons, store card savings and three Checkout 51 ebates.

Below is my store transaction breakdown with coupon savings, store card savings and final price paid.

  1. Gain flings!  (Original retail: $5.99 – $3 digital coupon – $1 promo = $1.99)
  2. Gillette shave gel (Original retail: $2.79 – $2 digital coupon – $1 promo – 30 cents card savings= + 51 cents (also known as a “moneymaker” to couponers)
  3. Gillette Venus Spa disposable razors (Original retail: $8.99 – $3 paper coupon – $2 card savings – $1 promo = $2.99)
  4. Pantene conditioner (Original retail: $3.99 – $2 paper coupon – $1 promo = 99 cents)
  5. Pantene shampoo with free bonus hairspray (Original retail: $3.99 – $2 paper coupon – $1 promo = 99 cents)

My total retail price was $6.45; add $1.41 tax and I paid just $7.86, a savings of 74% before tax.

There were three offers on the Checkout 51 ebates app for $2 Gillette Venus disposable razors, $1 Pantene conditioner and $1 Pantene shampoo for a total of $4 (limit one for all).

The total retail value for all five of my items is $25.75. My total at the store was $6.45 before tax and I redeemed the ebates for $4.

After all my savings and ebates, I paid just $2.45, a savings of 95% off retail before tax!
